Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any new things this year?

Yes, a lot! More than a dozen new watercraft (canoes, kayaks, paddle boards) are now at your disposal to explore our bodies of water.
All accommodation units have undergone a refresh to improve your experience. In addition, new trails are being added to those that already exist. And the biggest news? The site will now be accessible year-round by adding four-season accommodations and trails for snowshoeing and Nordic skiing!

What is your cancellation policy?

Can my friends join me during my stay?

Yes your friends may join you during your stay. Please notify the site manager and your rate will be adjusted accordingly. Maximum occupancy must be respected.

What is the arrival and departure time when booking accommodation?

Check in time is from 3 pm on the day of your arrival. Check out time is 11 am. You may continue to enjoy the rest stops, trails or water features prior to check in and after check out.
Please plan your arrival to correspond with our opening hours. If you plan to arrive after closing time, give us a call to let us know and to finalize payment, if necessary.

Are dogs allowed on site and in the cottages?

Dogs are allowed in some cottages.

A fee is charged for additional cleaning. Dogs must be kept on a leash and owners must respect the tranquility of the area.

Can we fish?

Of course you can! Don't forget to bring your fishing license and your boat.

Is the water safe to drink?

Safe drinking water is available at two of our cottages, La Grande Ourse and Les Lucioles. For the other cottages, it is advised to boil the water for 10 minutes or bring your own water.

How many bags of firewood are included with the reservation?

One bag of firewood per night is included with your reservation. Additional firewood can be purchased from the reception desk at $10 per bag.

Do you sell ice or food?

No! Bagged ice and food can be purchased at the Station Service - Depaneur Martin Leonard in Lac-du-Cerf (7 km away) or at the Marche Vallee de Kiamika (and liquor store) (10 km away).

Are motor boats allowed?

Yes, on the Riviere du Lievre, but you must have them cleaned before using the boat launch. This is a new bylaw that is now in effect.
Only our boats are permitted on Tomkin and Gaucher lakes. Electric motors only please, which can be rented from our reception desk.

Do you have a charging station for electric cars?

Yes we have a charging station available for renters. A second charging station is planned for this year.

Are the hiking trails closed during hunting season?

Part of the trails are closed from mid-October to the end of November during hunting.
50% of the trails remain accessible and safe!
